Prokofiev Piano Sonata No. 3 with fingerings! Pls help
on: January 30, 2024, 02:00:33 PM
Hello everyone, does anyone have the sheet music for Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No. 3?
I got the free version off of IMSLP but the problem I'm facing is that none of the editions I found online have any suggested fingering. Was wondering if anyone has an edition that suggests some fingerings?
I've already ordered the complete IMC edition of the sonatas but I live in India and the sheet music won't reach me for like another month
Really appreciate any help, thank you <3

Indeed, the fingering of those triplet runs in both hands requires careful consideration. I have been working on that sonata over the past 6 months and have finalized all my preferences for fingering.
I used the Kalmus edition back in college when I first worked on it. Now I am using the Alfred edition, edited by Murray Baylor. The fingerings were better in Baylor's edition. Though I ended up changing some of them. I do more insertion of the RH in LH parts.
Send me a direct message and we'll figure something out
