Tips on rach corelli variations

Hello, I just started learning the corelli variations. Any tips on practicing? Which variations i should start with, or any tips from people who learned it.

I’ve never learned it although I have learned and performed Rach 3. I’ve also performed other sets of variations eg Mendelssohn ‘serious’ variations. My advice to you is learn them in order as they’re a progression of pieces and I think it would be a shame to treat it like a regular piece by doing it in a random order. It’s more fun and logical when it comes to variations to go in order. Once you’re confident playing them all through at tempo with music then is a good time to isolate more challenging ones.
