Personally, I think that this we should use the original 1838 version of La Campanella, since it is written by the original composer and is also more difficult.
last 3 schubert sonatas and piano trios are something else

I'm going to have to disagree with that. IMO, the order goes 1852 version -->1838 version -->Busoni version.
