How difficult are liszt pieces like fantasie de don juan
on: April 27, 2024, 08:48:58 AM
didnt get to finish title so here it is -How difficult are liszt pieces like fantasie de don juan, niobe fantasie and fantasie de don giovanni compared to composers like scriabin and rachmaninoff. For example if i can play Scriabins 4th sonata well, would these fantasies be troublesome- (only in technical aspects).Because looking at them they seem manageable for me.

If you have mastered Scriabin's Sonata No. 4, Liszt's "Fantasies" such as Fantasie de Don Juan, Niobe Fantasie and Fantasie de Don Giovanni will not be too difficult for you technically. Have you mastered it yet?

Hello Edward, at this point i would say i have mastered the technical difficulties, its just a issue of memorization for me at this point, and some points in phrasing which could be better. Thank you for your advice, i will probably look at maybe niobe fantasy after i finish dante sonta.
