🎹Acoustic Piano Question
Hansbolav
I posted once without the video, so let me try again. Old piano, recently tuned by a pro, this ringing sound doesn't go away and he didn't know how to fix it. Does anyone know?

Test like this:
• 1 If you pluck off each of the strings of one (3 stringchords) with your fingernail or a pick and there is rattling coming from only one string, then the reason is in that particular string.
• 2 Next, if the reason is in one of the three strings, you need to examine the string in the area of the upper metal bridge (The pressure bar ). There may be oxides or other on the string there.
• 3 Wipe with a cotton cloth lightly dampened with alcohol here.
• 4 Inspect the string pin (bottom bridge) too. The cracks in the bridge itself and 'the bridgr pin' displacement may also be the cause of rattling there. You can try dropping a drop of PVA glue if 'the bridge pin' is shifted and loose in the crack there.
• 5 Unlikely cause it. But... the surface of 'the hammer head felt' can be examined too. Sometimes there may be a small foreign object or hardened dry glue. Remove this by using a lady's nail file.
Good luck,
regards, Max

Thank you! It was #4, small pieces of rust/metal had lodged itself into the base of the string near the string pin and it caused the sounds.
I found the issue, thank you so much for your guidance. Seems like flakes of surface rust had fallen down and landed right in between the string and the base. Thanks again.

I'm very glad that you fixed it's there.
good luck in your piano practics.
regards, Max
