Oscar - Best Score
on: February 25, 2005, 06:18:41 PM
What film score do you think will win this year's oscar for best score?

The nominees are:

Finding Neverland
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Lemony Snickett's
Passion of the Christ
The Village

My own personal choice would be The Village.  The soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful... it really adds so much to the movie.  It is also a unique score, in that it is written in the style of a violin concerto (with the prodigious Hilary Hahn as the violin soloist).

John Williams will probably win for Harry Potter. However, I agree with you. The score for The Village should win. I am also a HUGE Hilary Hahn fan.
