Has anyone played with a torn pully or lumbrical?

Okay so I’m a rock climber and there’s not much literature on the internet about the cross section between sports and musician life.  Everyone just says ‘oh don’t do sports it’s dangerous’ and that’s the end of the conversation.

I’ve played with broken hands and fingers and haven’t had a problem.  But pully and lumbrical tears are quite common in climbing and there’s a risk of it happening to me eventually.  Has anyone had one of these before?  How did it affect your playing?

I’m not going to quit climbing, I just wanna know what to expect if/when it happens.  I do finger strength training as a preventative measure but there’s still a non zero chance of it happening.

I would advice against playing with an active injury to a ligament that's stressed by playing. That's how people get permanent issues and focal dystonia and other scary stuff.

I mean I don't know what to tell you mate. You know the risks, what you do and if you are willing to deal with the consequences is up to you.

I was asking if anyone’s had the injury and how did they dealt with it not whether or not It’s okay to play with injuries
