Hi, I'm a student pianist in my teenage years, going into senior this year (I'm in Australia, so our school holidays end at the 27th of January). I'm getting really worried that I do not have enough time in my hands to enter a conservatorium for two reasons. The first reason is that I only started playing piano about 3 years ago. This means that I have not much time to get good on the piano and be able to perform in the conservatorium audition well. The second reason is that I believe that there is such a large competition to get into a conservatory that I don't believe I would make the cut. I absolutely adore and love the piano though, and I want to make it my lifelong job and passion. But I don't believe I'll be able to get into a conservatory, and this could hinder my potential for piano. Is it too late for me to bother getting into one?
Also, the conservatories that I want to get into are either Krakow or Warsaw conservatories in Poland. I would love to hear from a student who auditioned and got into either of the previously mentioned conservatories.
