10 Minute Piece Suggestion
on: March 11, 2025, 04:29:40 AM
Hello all!

I am a young pianist trying to find a 10-minute piece, or set of pieces, that would work well paired with Bach Prelude and Fugue in F Minor (WTC 2) and Vine Sonata 1, First Movement.

I've come up with a few ideas (ie: Liszt Libestod, Funerailles, Schubert Sonata d. 958 first movement)  However, I'm not super excited about anything I've generated so far, so suggestions would really be appreciated!

Thanks!!

How about the following?
Chopin Scherzo No 1 or No 2;
Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No 2 or No 12;
Alkan Le Festin d'Ésope

Any of the four Chopin Ballades fit this suggestion.

(Assuming you play the 4th Ballade in the proper tempo!)
