Can I play op 48 no 1
on: July 27, 2025, 09:03:21 AM
So there is a piano competition in 1.5 months. And they want 2 pieces to be played. I have revolutionary etude in my repertoire and I was wondering if I can manage to play Chopin’s op 48 no 1 nocturne. I’ve attempted to play fantasize impromptu too and I got no trouble playing it. Let me have your opinions

From a technical point of view, I think Op. 48 no 1 is an easier time than the Revolutionary Etude. Unless you have major struggles with chords.

I have no problem at any technical difficulties of the piece. However I'm a bit weak at reading sheet music. So I was just worried if I can finish the piece until the competition. I think I'll just practice for a few weeks and see what happens.
