Scriabin Nocturne for Left Hand op. 9 no. 2
on: October 27, 2025, 06:01:02 PM

I played this for a small masterclass at school. I didn't plan to record it but thankfully my girlfriend picked up my phone and took a recording anyways (hence why the beginning is cut off). I think I did a pretty decent job, I'm mostly proud of keeping my nerves in check while performing - I'd say there's only two notable moments where they interfere. My teacher also suggested trying to balance the melody and accompaniment in a way that indulges in every note, hence why I don't keep the accompaniment as "under" as might be expected. I don't think I pulled off what she meant precisely, but the learning process is always ongoing I suppose, so it's something I'm noting for the future.

Good Job bensbpiano,
I  wasn't familiar with this dreamy, dreamlike piece by Scriabin. Anyway, it seems a great job. Your girlfriend did a good job recording it...
Greetings from Italy
