Miserere (Mei)
on: March 03, 2005, 06:18:28 AM
Does anyone know where i can find the lyrics to this song? Its by Allegri, and im not exactly sure whther it has the "Mei" on the end, because on the cd i have it doesnt, but everywhere else says its Miserere Mei, but either will do.

i have the piece, and i just call it miserere. as for the lyrics, try getting the cd (by buying it or looking in your local library) and they should be in there. or google it and who knows what you'll find!

Lyrics... teehee....
oh well.... it's simply Allegri's setting of Psalm 50.
Miserere = Have Mercy
Meserere mei = Have Mercy on me
So either is acceptable.
If you want to find psalm 50 (in latin) you could try to find a latin Bible but I'm sure it's on the internet somewhere.
Dave.
