I can't really rank my favourite movies.  I like The Matrix, Legally Blonde, Lord of the Rings...that's all I can think of at the moment.

er... well...let's see....

i have a thing ;D about corny and action films so...

1. Lord of the Rings / ID4 (Independence Day)
2. Legally Blonde / Lake Placid (Many people said this movie was bad but I thought it was hilarious)
3. Speed
4. Con Air / Air Force One(Yeah! go Mr. Prezident!)
5. Forrest gump - I'm a real softie for this one...

see, 6 out of 8 films I mentioned were action!
I'm guessing i have to persuade a few people to watch these films .So i'm staring with ID4(Independence day)  ;D

The story follows four plotlines that coalesce at Area 51: the cable repair guy and his funky dad ; the handsome fighter pilot and his lovely single mom girlfriend with the incredibly cute kid; the washed up crop duster-Vietnam vet with three incredibly cute kids who live in a Winnebago; and the young, idealistic, drop-dead gorgeous President of the US of A, surrounded by an equally good looking staff, good looking wife, and incredibly cute kid. And they're all smart, too.
Sit back with a tall cool one and get ready for a pretty mediocre sci-fi film that is long on patriotism, fist-pumping action, good looking people, chest beating macho stuff, incredibly cute kids, and one really terrific dog (it's a Labrador retriever, NOT a golden retriever.)

LOTR - go figure

Lake Placid: A group of really strange people get together to catch the monster in the lake which is killing people
heaps of sarcastic humour and a drop of romance  ;D

legally blonde:blondes. Full Stop.

Speed - Sandra Bullock, Keanu reeves, a screwed up terrorist and a bus going at 50miles per hour(any slower and the bus will blow up) need I say more?

Con Air: a convict plane gets hijacked by the convicts

Air Force One: the Prez' plane get hijacked and this time, Harrison Ford,  as Mr Prez, kicks serious butt as the hero

forrest gump : this is the lesson of a lifetime.

Right I think I can go on for ages but I'll be nice and shut up ;D  ;D  ;D

I like action movies as well. It's funny actually, most girls, at least the ones that I have met, like the"chick flicks" :). I do watch them but I prefer action.
Have you ever seen Behind Enemy Lines?
That one was okay. I'm trying to think back to what my original impression was,it was quite a while ago that I saw it.
I also liked Con Air and Air Force One.

I saw X-men 2 the other day, didn't think it would be my type of thing but it was quite good! Especially the bit at the start with Mozart's Dies Irae blasting through the speakers.Does anyone know which recording they used for that?I should've checked the end credits.

Well seeing as I am quite an avid movie lover, I'd sum up my tastes as being mostly independant films; but to name my unofficially official list, it is as follows. Remember these are listed in no particular order.

1. Memento (all time favorite movie)
2. Requiem for a dream (a magnificent work of art)
3. Lord Of the Rings (just love it all the way)
4. Shawshank Redemtion (Just breathtaking)
5. Watership Down (the cartoon; which is so beautiful)
6. Shine (Very inspiring)
7. Immortal Beloved (for the longest time was my #1)
8. Fight Club (Genius)
9. The Hobbit (cartoon, very good)
10. Jesus of Nazareth (Unforgetable!)

Well that is my unexhausted list. Hope you gleaned something about me from it.

Any one likes Anne of Green Gables - my old time favourite......

I prefer classics such as Emma (starring Gywneth Palthrow), Little Women (starring Winona Ryder), Much Ado About Nothing (starring Robert Sean Leonard).  Not to mention Dead Poet Society.

I generally like comedies and Sci-Fic, but . . .
Kill Bill (Part I) was cool. Part II isn't on show yet in Hong Kong.
Ben (1972) was a touching one. I only saw the film on LaserDisc bought in the early 1990s.

Strange enough I've never seen a Harry Potter or a Lord of Rings. Would love to.

Yesterday I watched a heart-warming Japanese film called Quill - on the life of a guide dog, the love and loyalty between human and dog. Left me in tears.

If only love among humans can be as simple and pure as a dog's love for mankind . . .

1.  Citizen Kane (1941).  The most extraordinary performance by an actor (Orson Welles) of all time.

2.  Touch of Evil (1957).  Another Welles gem.

3.  Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).  The best adventure movie of all time.

4.   Mutiny on the Bounty (1935).  Great story.

5.   Wizard of Oz (1939).  Great story and heart.

6.   The Kid Brother (1927).  Great Harold Lloyd film, beautifully photographed.

7.   Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1947).  Great story of greed and friendship in Mexico with Humphrey Bogart.

08. Weekend at Bernie's - Just to funny

Which brings up an idea--Hey Bernie, we could all spend the weekend at your place!!  Our "frat house" idea could become a reality!  hehe  So how about if we all hop on a plane and come knocking on your door?!  We could make a movie of it! LOL

PS--I'll bring along all the ingredients so I can make chili for all! LOL
