I'm really curious about how long he practiced to become so proficient at playing the piano. Because he handles some of the more difficult notes so well?

Yes, he has many elements of a good technique, nice relaxed wrists.

But he needs some good teaching. Imbalanced between LH and RH. No real phrasing or changing dynamics. A bit of rubato needed.

Maybe the microphone was badly placed?

The bit just after 00:10 was interesting, but easily missed - what needs to be done to make it more prominent?

Pedalling - don;t know, acoustics was so reverberant, and I couldn't see his foot. Probably needs some work.

Some notes got lost.

It's some sappy contemporary easy listening piano song, like River Flows In You.
None of them stand out among the others, I suggest you listen to that one, then you'll have the name and the music.
How did you come across this small scale homey video?

What difficult notes are you referring to?

He plays with care, with attention to the sound and phrasing.  He's a natural musician.
He's learned to place his fingers close to the key before striking, which gives a soft, silky tone.
But he looks a bit hunched over - sitting to high?
He's either learned or is a natural at relaxed arms and wrists.

It's not just time spent practicing but time spent applying techniques - techniques you've been taught in most cases.

Are you taking piano lessons?

I'm assuming you are the owner of the YouTube channel as your forum account and channel name contain the same name. I don't know the piece but I'd suggest you turn on comments on your video if you want YouTube users to be able to help you out answering your question.
