My advice is practice it very slowly, gradually building up speed. Watch the fingers in your left hand, lifting very high and making the staccato both short and crisp. Make sure your finger comes up immediately after you strike the note.
Hope that helps!

Natasha, you haven't told us where this is from. Its only just a tempo indication. Is it one of the pieces from Mikrokosmos?
I'll have to disagree with what amee said.
True, you should practice it very slowly, same applies to any other piece you are learning. But staccato QUAVERS in MOLTO VIVACE is pretty fast so why lift your hand very high?

I meant lift your fingers very high, not your hand.

Molto Vivace is just a tempo indication. You did not say the catalogue number. I think Bartok's were Sz. instead of Opus.
Or where this piece is from. Because Bartok wrote many pieces for piano and they are normally in groups.
And also these quavers. Are they just repeated notes? If so just change the fingers for each note. Like 3, 2,1.
Why lift your fingers high?

Molto Vivace is the name Frederic
Amee I have tried lifting my fingers high and it works!!! Frederic I used the 3 2 1 method when I was doing grade one, it is just too simple.

I disagree with you Freddy.
Have you even looked at the score for this piece of music? The fingering in the left hand shouldnt go 321 like you suggested, it should go 1234.

And also, why do you always have to follow the fingering that's written? It should all depend on what's more comfortable for each of us, and if this is just ordinary repeated notes, I find 3, 2, 1 much easier than with a 4 included.

If I recall correctly, the left hand continous quavers are FEDC repeated over and over. The most reasonable fingering for this would be 1-2-3-4 in the left hand, like Jezz suggested.

Hey, you said continuous and i thought you meant REPEATED notes.... In that case, yes, 321 is crazy...

Freddie *or should i say frederic*
like i said before, you should look at the score for a piece of music before you make assumptions. then you wont make silly mistakes like the one you made just now, getting repeated and continous quavers mixed up, especially after natasha has repeated stated the word CONTINOUS QUAVERS in her posts.
next time please think before you assume something, and it will save all of us a lot of trouble
