I have Katsaris' recording of that concerto, but I also a CD of what may be a fourth concerto in E minor played by Jennifer Eley:

If I'm not mistaken, the A MINOR concerto was a youthful student composition?

Mendelssohn also wrote two piano concertos for 2-pianos:  one in A flat major and the other in E major.  Both are very Mozart/Hummel-esque.

He also wrote a Flute Concerto.
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.
