IM Folders suggestion
on: April 29, 2003, 07:52:50 AM
Hi,

As the number of instant messages in my inbox builds, I find the page takes longer and longer to load.  My internet connection is okay but depending on how its feeling, it can be either fast or slow. Sometimes it takes a long time for my inbox to load.  Is there any way to have folders in your inbox, so I can keep my messages but still have a relatively clear (and fast-loading) inbox?

Thanks.

This would of course be good to have but as with all reprograming of the forum software its a matter of time, money and a great risk for troubles. :-/

An update of the software will probably be done during the summer (north part of the world...). So ideas such as this are always welcome and we will consider this but I can't promise anything regarding this functionality at the moment.

Meanwhile you can do the following:
1. Open the IM inbox
2. Save the web page on your computer's hard drive
3. Delete the messages in your Inbox (the online version)

This way you have a "back up" of all your messages offline but your inbox can be kept clean. :)
