why would you say that? maybe you didn't need them - but i've seen a lot of people improving radically their technique by working on these. i don't think they're a waste of time (unless of course you have great innate technique...)

Some of them are more helpful than you would think, you know? :P
They are far from a waste of time, especially when you compare them to Hanon and the likes of him.

I know miss marple - they are good actually but the volume of them can be very offputting to students - im a fan, although when i read comment i made it dosent sound it but there are Many who dislike them. They are good tunefull studies which capture the comspoitional style of an era - many foreshadow Beethhoven etc if only they werent called studies im sure they would be more treasured repertoire.
