Audition Results
on: March 25, 2005, 10:32:41 PM
Hi,
Earlier this year I sent in audition tapes to Interlochen and Tanglewood for their summer sessions. Today iI got a response from Tanglewood saying that since they could only take a small amount of people they are not able to offer me admission at this time but the judges were impressed with my ability and have put me on the waiting list. One of the reasons I did these auditions was to find out where I am musically and this response has left me confused. Does it mean that I was not good enough to be selected, or that more people sent in their auditions before I did, or something totally different? Thanks for the response

Both are very good programs (although, are you doing middle school or high school?). Getting stuck on the waiting list is basically being good, but not good enough to get in right off the bat. They're going to either wait for the rest of the audition tapes, which could mean you'll be screwed, or for someone to decline, in which case you have a good chance of getting in.

Thanks for the input. I'm just on the cuff of going to the high school program. Hopefully ill have better luck with my response from Interlochen. And I believe they are done listening to tapes, at least thats what it said in the letter, so hopefully a cancellation will get me in.
