HELP.
on: March 27, 2005, 01:16:07 PM
today i have been asked to play on 18 march 2 short  pieces from 2 period.
i only have romantic pieces in my repertoir and most of them aren't complete

what can i possibly finish in 3 weeks?

how hard are scarlatti sonatas, do you recomend  any of them? i'm thinking of k.1 in d minor
the audience know nothing about classical music do you think they'l like scarlatti?

and i'm thinking of schumann's charina from carnival i don't think it would take alot of time to learn

how's this program?
do you recomend any other pieces?

i only have the allegro agitato of the fantasie impromptue ready can i skip the slow part i never worked on it, has anyone done this?

PLEASE HELP any response would be very apreciated?

1. scarlatti is a good idea. pick any sonata you feel like you can play decent in 3 weeks.

2. no, you shouldn't skip the slow part in chopin. but you don't have to memorize it, you can play it with the score in front of you!

DON'T SKIP THE MIDDLE PART!

You can learn it pretty fast, it repeats alot and it all fits the hand perfectly. Give it a week.

Play it sloppy rather than to skip it.
