I think I found out what sommessamente is!

I know that adding 'mente' on the end of an Italian word is like adding "ly" to an English word
eg. leggiero = light  >>> leggieramente = lightly.

I tried on alta-vista babelfish turning 'sommessamente' into 'sommesso' and it came up with 'submitted.'  So turning it back to sommessamente in English resulted in "Submittedly."  Am I right?

I encourage you to study this. Analyze it. Play it. Practice it. Whatever. I have, and have started to truly realize the greatness of this piece, and the genius of the composer. Absolutely amazing. If only you could see what he does! Take this for instance - you know the two themes introduced in the first movement, right? Did you know that he uses those in practically every movement? Sometimes it's very subtle, but you can still find it (maybe not by the recordings, though).

I am very anxious to hear a recording by Jonathan Powell. I created a topic on The Sorabji Group on Yahoo, and he responded, so I might ask him if he plans to come out with one. I have also communicated via Internet with Alistair Hinton on several ocassions. It is very interesting to talk with them. I can probably learn a lot.

OC is a house with tall padlocked iron gates.  Most cannot get inside because Madge has thrown away their key.

I hold my score in 4 separate binders. It works like a charm!

Having listened to the Michael Habermann intervew and having downloaded samples of Sorabji's music on the net, "I'm" now obsessed with his work and want to know where to find the scores? + obtain/purchase the Habermann/Ogden/anyone but Madge's aparently..music! ..if you or anyone else can help ??
I'm very impressed with Habermann as well as Fredrik Ullen's dedication to these pieces.

This is Ludwig, in case you missed my previous messages. I have recently discovered this on Sorabji.com - https://www.sorabji.com/sound/piano/hothouse.ram. The recording quality is terrible, but the performance is, for the most part, very nice. I suppose it would sound even better if the the recording was clearer and not as harsh, but beggars can't be choosers...
