Fugue no. 1 in C
on: March 31, 2005, 11:40:29 PM
I have almost mastered Bach's Fugue no.1 in C BWV 846, which was one of the most challenging pieces i have ever learnt. I want to know what is the level of this pieces compared to certifications pieces (such as ABRSM for example).

Also, i have one more problem with this piece. I can play it very well but at a bit slow tempo. I can't figure out how to get it up to the required tempo as everything i try to speed it up a little bit, i experience some memory blackouts.

get one section up to tempo at a time...dont just play the whole thing and then try to do the whole thing faster as this is pretty much a waste of time...i remember when i was bringing this piece up to tempo, i worked on very small sections at a time, half-measures even
rach on!
