awesome concerto, I have the sheet music. Haven't learned it, but it doesn't seem too difficult to me. Tricky parts are, probably, the cadenza in the first movement, and the repeated notes stuff in the third movement.

The left hand one is a trillion times better though

I like both of them very much. The G major concerto is very light and happy-sounding, as Ravel said: "In the spirit of Mozart and Saint-saens". The left hand concerto is a much deeper and more passionate work.

but it doesn't get much more beautiful than in the second movement of the G major concerto... wow.

I mostly had trouble memorising the 2nd mvt. But then, i always have trouble memorising slow pieces. Also, i really didn't know whether to play 3/4 or 6/8 in the left hand. 3/4 just didn't feel right... but its writeen that wayyyyy

And also the crazy chromatic rising passage in the coda. That took me a while (can you imagine an hour playing that over and over again?)

Ah well... never did get a chance to play it... stupid competition. LOL

Hope that helps for some of the phrasing. Really weird.

The Piano Concerto in G Major isn't too difficult, and it's a great and beautiful work. Do not try to use both hands for the Left hand concerto! It's more difficult that way! (Doesn't that just show off Ravel's pure genius?)
