I found two used upright pianos from the newspaper.  They are Yamaha 48" U1 acoustic upright (Year 1981) & Baldwin Hamilton model 243 44.5" (1989).   I would like to know which piano is a better piano, assuming the condition of the pianos are the same.  Which one is suitable for my 6 years old beginner.  Thanks!

Without seeing the pianos, it would not be helpful to give you a firm direction either way. I personally like the Yamie U1s over the Hamiltons of THAT age, but use, abuse, and care over the years could easily sway me.

There are also lots of other good choices out there. Are you limiting yourself to these brands or is this what is currently available?

If YOU really like either piano, why not hire a good independent tech. to check it out for you?

Good Luck and keep us posted,

Thanks for your advice!  Will K-25 or K-30 be a good choice for me?  Any other suggestions?  My budget is limited to $3000.
