The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Piano concerto (new and w/ live video recording)
on: January 13, 2026, 03:09:59 PM
I'm happy to share a complete recording of my piano concerto. It was premiered and performed five times in October and November 2025, with two conductors and wind orchestras, but the same soloist each time.

The concerto blends jazz and classical elements, including ragtime, classical forms and virtuosic piano writing—sometimes reminiscent of Chopin, Brahms or Rachmaninov. I hope you enjoy it – and any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I've listened to 6 minutes so far, I hope to listen to the whole thing carefully.
Quite an accomplishment!  Congrats!
My initial reaction:
I found the Gershwin / jazz elements the most interesting.
I found the fancy filigree of the piano part kind of annoying, because it seemed to be pure filler.  Rachmaninov always composed such passages with harmonic purpose, emerging from the preceding section and leading to the next.  I didn't get that sense from most of your such passages.  But I'll listen again, maybe I missed it.

Since you're an official composer / pianist, and you carried out an official performance / recording of this work, please share your name so we can find out more about you - -

Rachmaninov always composed such passages with harmonic purpose, emerging from the preceding section and leading to the next.

They are intended to do so, but mostly not in a straightforward, rather in a capricious way.

It's all given in the video description, isn't it?
In fact I am an official composer, but not an official pianist. :)
