for the sake of difference, the militaryif chopin can write such a great and fun piece that sound difficult but that i learned and memorized in just a week after only have taken lessons for 2 years, than thats great piano writing
which do you think is the better Polonaise.boliver
I have looked at the military polonaise written down and it doesen't look that easy! Is it actually easier to play than it looks?
I though the thread was about which polonaise people thought was the better one. People on this forum are so ready to start a bragging match about difficulty. To answer the question properly, my favourite is the military. I'm a fan of loud pieces like the military.
Or we could go ahead and accept that they're both great.

I'll break the tradition by saying that Op. 44 in F Sharp Minor is greater than both of them.
nah heroic is more wikid, i like op 44 too but not as much as op 53. Btw i don't think the military is supposed to be all that loud, if you banged that one out it would sound crap imo
anybody can be anything on the internet. it is the ultimate bragging grounds. pathetic as it may seem it is true.
heroic is harder, longer, more beautiful, more complicated, more for show off... i'd say his hardest polonaise (we are talking about op.53, aren't we?)
