Need to tone down aggressive playing!
on: Yesterday at 04:16:44 PM
I am pretty well experienced on keyboards and piano, but having performed pop/rock in live settings for the past 20 years, and now turning back to focusing on classical music, I've realized my technique has suffered. I am playing far too aggressively, playing ahead of the beat (even with my metronome going), and my softest touch doesn't go below FORTE. I play with expression but it's just all a notch or two up from where it should be. I have a habit of tensely touching keys down hard. Help. Any suggestions for practice methods that can tame my playing are most appreciated.THANK YOU
