Silly question, but here it goes...

Op. 31/1 (Sonata No. 16)
Op. 31/3 (Sonata No. 18)
Op. 14/1 (Sonata No. 9)
Op. 14/2 (Sonata No. 10)
Op. 49/1 (Sonata No. 19)
Op. 49/2 (Sonata No. 20)
Op. 10/2 (Sonata No. 6)
Op. 2/2 (Sonata No. 2)

I'd hate to part with any of these but I think they are probably my "least favorite" -- which means I still have 2-3 (at least) recordings of each. Damn this thread! I really like each of those sonatas I listed!
Favorite pianists include Pollini, Casadesus, Mendl (from the Vienna Piano Trio), Hungerford, Gilels, Argerich, Iturbi, Horowitz, Kempff, and I suppose Barenboim (gotta love the CSO). Too many others.

I do love it! But it's still gotta go if I have to pick 8 to lose!

Yes those are great sonatas -- they all are! But since I had to choose 8 to lose, those had to be on the list.
