oh wait that is all of texas. HEHEHEHE

they have a cool restaurant there. if you can eat at 50 oz. steak, a large baked potatoe, two sides,and desert in less than 30 min. you get the meal free.

Im just curious - there's this song that's hit the charts again originally from the 70's by Tony christie (one of our UK stars of the 70s).  You probably have heard of it though right?! ;)

I live around 6 hours from amarillo. Nope never heard of the song.

true it takes me around 8 hours to get completely out of Texas. 50 HRs or so to get to N.Y. crazy stuff.

Houston (Texas) -> Lafayette (Louisiana, not Texas): 142 mls, about 2.5 hours

I guess you don't get to see much of your country then?!

mind you there are people in England like that but I think in some cases that maybe through local ignorance ::).  We still have a north/south divide that harks back to the dark ages!!  Im lucky I have lived and travelled in the very south and fairly northern areas of England, and visiting other regions to the east and west.  My favourite place is Amberley and South Downs in West Sussex.  I went to Amberley Wild Brooks as in John Ireland's piano work - to get the inspiration  :D
