Major, major fan of the music, but hate how it gets sleazed up when played.

Yes, wonderful music.  Sad, lonely, beautiful music -- like dancing without a partner.  I wonder if Balanchine ever coreographed any of the suites for solo dancer.  I like Starker's recording.

Didn't Godowski transcribe some of them for piano? Anyone heard them?
