Next year is the 250th Anniversary of Mozart's birth.  Is anyone else planning to be in Austria for the celebrations?   :D

put on 18th century costumes and dance to the music.  hold the bust of mozart up high.  look at pictures of the original cast of 'the marriage of figaro' (muse upon the fact that nancy storace- the original suzanna- was only 18 or 19 when she performed with great humor - using the garden shears to beat time).

read about mozart dancing with his wife in a local tavern to keep warm in the later years of his life.  eat saurkraut and sausages.  hang out with mozart aficianados - and cry when you leave...knowing another one of these won't happen for another 50-100 years.

get into a fight over whether constance helped or hindered mozart's career.  hold an actual gulden in your hand.  hold a bag of guilden.  pretend you are rich for a day - and spend money on clothing, etc. only to be poor the next day and have to forgo eating out.  at the end of the mozart 2006 - everyone has to borrow money from someone to get home.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.
