I love you Nils ;D ;D ;D

Do we have the option to make the polls not anonymous1/anonymous?

1Can't think of the opposite of anonymous.... I mean, do we get to see who voted which option...

Polls can be interesting. The main problem with them, from my experience on other forums, is the frequent failure of the posters who create them to make sure all possible situations are completely covered. This is actually much trickier to do than it first appears and it is relatively easy to create a set of options which many posters find impossible to select from. Provided the options are well defined and cover all possibilities the results can be most enlightening.

So where is the option to do polls? and how do we build one, assuming we could think of one?

Greetings

So where is the option to do polls? and how do we build one, assuming we could think of one?

Go to the start of the topics page and you'll see three buttons on the top right Notify - New Topic  and New Poll
Just click and it's self explanatory.

Cheers ;D

Thanks Nils !!

Great Job, as usual  :) :)

One question:

I have just created a new Poll (Chopin favourite SET of works), and by mistake i have forgotten 1 possibility (and a VERY important one indeed)  :-[ :-[

It seems to me the creator cannot change the poll after creation. Is this right?
What should i do?

I am in the same dilemma, my most recent poll is simply not satisfying to me .... LOL.  It needs more options (that I forgot about by the time I clicked the "SAVE" button) to be more representative.

So, I am bumping this thread with the same question.  Is there any way to edit the poll once it's been created ?

Thanks for all of your work,

I just made some changes. Please try editing your own polls and tell me if it works OK or not.

Well, I just checked out the situation, and there does not appear to be any additional options in modifciation that would allow for me to make changes in my poll.  The modify function still only allows me to modify the message, not the poll.   So, I in short, I don't have the foggiest idea how to do it, if it is possible.

Thanks,

It looks like I missed a tiny but essential detail...
The "edit poll" option should now appear next to the polls you have created.

Great ! I was indeed able to edit my poll and add options.  I could not modify how many votes each person can cast, however, which would in this case make a difference.  But, I am not bent on making a big deal of this one, just giving feedback.

Thanks very much,

i like the polls, but i no longer like the personal messaging from certain members of pf.  nils probably knows who i mean.  and it's not the people who write messages about music.

You can "ignore" certain forum members by going to your profile, then to "Modify Forum Profile" then to "Personal Message Options" (the very bottom option).   There is a box to the right where you can type the forum member's names you wish to ignore messages from.

That may be an option for you if you are really annoyed.
