Yes exactly. But in the news report i read it was summerised that he may have had a nervous breakdown. That could be why he cannot communicate, because he is unable to in his mental condition.
I would also like to know what he played: this could be a current great pianist or a future great pianist.

We could be able to consider that music was the factor in his nervous breakdown.
Has anyone here heard of other cases in which people have had similar conditions, it could always be the nerves of perorming that causes it.

his method of communication 'tiny nods?'  this is a better story than porcorina's and more accurate probably.  is this what you have to do to get orchestra's in europe to notice you?

i really liked the pencil sketches.  that was funny that they were trying to get him to write his name.  poor fellow.  schizophrenic or just lost his memory?  could it have been a bad experience.  or nerves, as suggested.  or perhaps overdoting parents that pushed him to practice one step too much and 'over the edge' he went.

do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.

the wet suit and tie really added to the drama.  perspiration, no doubt, from his last performance.

yeah. i don't mean to say that he doesn't have problems and its just because he might not be english speaking, but if he wasn't english the added factor that no one is saying anything he understands would be making it even more nerve-wracking. it mentioned on the news that the people have tried to get polish, lithuanian and russian translators to talk to him but to no avail.

He hasn't uttered a word. So not understanding English isn't the problem.

He won't let anyone let get within 2 feet. Maybe its a publicity stunt. But the guy has been like this for 5 weeks. Heavy extreme acting for five weeks long? Well, he is famous now. If he is acting for publicity we will know it very soon. But that seems unlikely. The people helping him should have been able to notice he is acting.

oh my friend was telling me about this today, we were inventing stories as to who he was- i determined that he was a hermit, who was fishing for food and the boat got capsised and now he's just freaked over the return to civilisation and people...yes i'm sure that's it...
so my friend was like it's amazing he just played for hours, all from memory, and he had his own compositions too. and i'm like ah well that's what pianists do you wouldn't expect anything less from them.
