ravel's piano concerto in G major
on: May 22, 2005, 06:48:02 PM
ok. i looked up ravel's concerto and actually it IS quite jazzy. quote from roeder's "a history of the concerto" says "two subsidary themes with jazz elements shape the second part of the unusual sonata-allegro form exposition, which moves through a series of descending keys - G, F-sharp, and E. A less active theme in the piano in F-sharp major introduces a blues flavor with its blue third, the flatted third degree of the scale, which clashes with the major third, as in early jazz."
so, i guess i like both ravel and gershwin. where's the poll? can i change my mind and vote for both of them? goes to poll and double votes.

do you know why benches fall apart? it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them. hint: buy a bench that does not hinge. buy it for sturdiness.

Hehe, told you so that both were cool
Didn't pick Ravel and Gershwin with no reason
