The Kawai's that I've tried seem to have a boomy bass range.  However I haven't tried any newer models, so this may not apply.

Roland: On the ones I've tried, they just seem too bright.  Sort of the piano sound you get in pop music.

Yamaha:  I keep coming back to them if I ever need to play a digital.  Great sound, on every one I've tried.  It's supposed to be sampled from the CFIIIS concert grand.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
