A phenomenal pianist.  I heard her perform the Rachmaninov 1st piano concerto with the Detroit Symphony about 10 years ago.

I am sad that she died... I have seen some of her videos which she was playing Rachmaninoff and telling the general story behind his music. Very sweet and humorous lady.
My goodbye to a fellow pianist, the musical world has lost a powerful element.

I saw her play Rachmaninoff about eight years ago, I liked it.

:(

I'm going to play my Laredo/Tocco Rite of Spring for 2p4h now.

Quite sad.  Some of her Scriabin recordings are my favourites.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

She was a wonderful pianist and, to those who knew her, a wonderful human being. She will be missed.

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31.
