What's the name of this piece
on: June 02, 2005, 07:42:35 AM
Does anyone know the name of this piece? and who composed it? where can I find the sheet music?

I don't believe it's written by Mozart. I know most of his compositions. But the theme is definately from that Mozart movie (1984).

It is a piano transcription of one of Mozart's operas...I want to say it is Le Nozze de Figaro

search for Mozart opera with the character Cherubino in it.  It is that opera.  I think that there might be a Suzannah as well.

Sounds like variations on Voi che sapete as sung by Cherubino in the Marriage of Figaro. No idea who wrote it. Maybe Liszt?

Took me a while to narrow it down, but it is the Czerny-Mozart Figaro. I have the score if you would like it. Not a very good copy and someone has put in the fingering.
