Hi, all

Just reading through various posts on repertory grading, and a lot of possibly useful info is contained in links that are no longer active on the forum.

This would more than likely have been asked before, but, is there any way to access these old threads?

Here's an example of an accessible topic containing recommended further reading in the form of 'dead' threads:

https://pianoforum.net/smf/index.php/topic,3721.msg33399.html#msg33399 (See Bernhards response, and the dead links re: Scarlatti sonatas, Grieg - complete graded list, easy Prokofiev, and suggested easy-intermediate material from Shostakovich).

I can search for alternative info, but, I'm curious to know if there's a way around it? It's a regular occurence, and a work-around'd be great to have... :)

Appreciate any insight

The site was updated about 6 months ago maybe.  Not sure exactly when.

When it was changed, the way the urls were listed changed.  The result was that none of the links worked.  I think Bernhard went back and changed many of his links -- huge task.  But I've seen a few like that.

I guess if you post a link you should include the title.  (And yes the original author can modify their title, but everyone else who replies before that change will still have the original title in thie reply)   If the title is included and the links were to change, you can go do a search for the title and find the link.

Sorry to say, but I think you're out of luck.  I think Bernhard would have changed the link if he could.  Maybe a general search will work?  Good luck

*sometimes* if you change "action=dislpay" to "action=print" (in url) it works

This workaround does currently not work but there will be a better solution available within a few weeks.
