I'm in love with the 1st.

I just think too many people play it too slowly for the fury that it unleashes.

I love Jablonsky's recording.

Yundi comes in 2nd.

The b flat minor is incredible, but how difficult is it actually compared to some of chopin's other difficult works?   How much more difficult is it than the FI or some of his etudes?

My favourite is number 4 mainly because its got a really cool middle section and its not often played. Next would be number 3 cos it sounds grand and with the really cool tinkling bits in the middle section and a great coda. I think numbers 1 and 2 are played more often and though they are great pieces, I'm a bit sick of them to be honest!

I can only play the second one. :P So I voted for it.
Yundi Li's recording of Scherzi is simply perfect.

Is bflat minor the easiest out of all of them technically?  And also how does it compare to some of Chopin's other pieces such as the etudes?

1st is the most showy, pompous, and tragic.  The 2nd is more artistic and sounds more intelligent.  The third is the easiest but is more mellow .  The 4th is the most underrated but is actually the hardest and seems the longest.

The E major is the longest on most recordings unless the performer really takes his or her time with the centre section of the B minor scherzo; I shy away from these recordings since this usually means either the E major sounds rushed or the centre section of the B minor sounds boring (the first time I ever heard the B minor performed I kept staring at my watch during the centre section; I appreciate it more now but it's still easy to make the centre section, and indeed the entire scherzo, sound dull because of its degree of repetition).  Anyway, my favourite is the E major, which I think doesn't receive nearly the attention it deserves; the buildup to the return of the five-note theme from the opening bars is one of my favourite moments in all of Chopin, but I love the whole piece from beginning to end (especially the coda).  In fact, my preference list runs in reverse order of composition (I don't dislike any of them but feel the repetition of the B minor drags it down a bit).

I'd like to see you play the second part of the third Scherzo ...
