Hi I live in Switzerland and i study the piano for about 10-11years.

Actually my repertoire contains:

Liszt Liebestraum(I read your post concerning the ladies and it works ;)  )
Scarlatti K1
bach PF n6 bk2 (Dminor)
Beethoven Sonata op79 and op10N°1
Mozart sonata Kv309
Debussy Nocturne pour le piano seul Dflat
Brahms op79N°2
Some chamber music like Mozart K478
and others things

I am working now on:

Jardins sous la pluie Debussy
Op25N°7 Chopin
Mozart concerto N°21 K467 C major
Bach PF 2 bk1
Scriabine(a try) Prelude op9 then if I pass the prelude correctly with only the left Hand I will go on the Nocturne)

And I need one  more piece, actually I wanted to play the 2nd scherzo but my teacher wants me to play more "little pieces this year" to view more things

She proposed me the polonaise op26N°2 Eflat minor but I don't really like this.

So what do you propose me to do?

( I apologize for my bad english...Need maybe to kill my teacher)

Well, if the polonaises are somewhat up in the air, I might suggest the overlooked C minor polonaise (which is...don't quote me...op. 40 no. 1 I believe) and the posthumous F minor polonaise. It seems like both pieces would technically be "below" your level, but that shouldn't exactly be an issue in my book (you and your teacher might think otherwise, of course). You might also look into the mazurkas, which are of course small and idiosyncratic pieces which would be excellent workouts for more off-the-wall kind of things, i.e. out of the mainstream rhythmically and melodically (and they are also short pieces).

And of course there is always Schumann, the miniature master, who happily provides works like Fantasiestuck, Kinderszenen, and Kreisleriania, all of which have some excellent, short, and very worthwhile pieces.

Thanks for suggestions, but I need something longer than Kreisleriana, I think op26N°2 is 10pages...

May I ask you what is my Level in your country? It is 6month i read this forum and I saw things concerning ABRSM so ...

Kreisleriana is actually a cycle of pieces which lasts around 30 minutes; when I recommended it, however, I meant to say that it might be a good idea to choose just one or two pieces in Kreisleriana (actually I think one from Fantasiestuck might be more appropriate).

Anyway, I rechecked that F minor polonaise and it's not actually posthumous but is numbered op. 71 no. 3, at least in my Alfred book. It's a substantial piece of, say, 7 or 8 pages I think, and runs almost as long as the Eb minor one you mentioned.

I couldn't tell you which level you are because I've never gone by such ratings and probably never will; but I'm sure someone around here can spill the beans lickety split.
