what is the point of what?  there are different points.  there are different points of view.  if not everyone agrees, is there no point?  or, are we faced with a dilemma?  i think if you give up, there is no point.  if you keep struggling there is a point.  also, there is a point of no return.  that is where i am.  i am now at mid-life.  i consider myself charging forward (in a given direction) although i am terrible at directions sometimes.

someday, there will be a point in all of our lives where our teeth fall out, our hair falls out, we are wrinkled, and tired, and there will be a point where we say "what's the point."  you are too young for that right now.

ps  it's not that i don't understand what you are trying to say.  some days i have a lot of motivation and other's i don't.  kind of like city-life.  you see some people talking on a cell phone while walking 100%.   then there's the casual walk.  and then there's someone standing absolutely still, just sort of bewildered and lost.  a bus hits them, and then it's over.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.
