hey musicdarkangel --
aquariuswb here (remember me? we got in a stupid flame war like a month ago). Why the new handle you ask? (And you DID ask!) Before Piano Street and Piano Forum merged, I had already registered with Piano Street under this username (mwarner1). Once they merged, I followed the instructions to re-register with PF, but it wouldn't let me because I used the same E-mail address for Piano Street and PF originally; it kept giving me the error message that my E-mail address is already linked with another username -- the one I am using right now. "Aquariuswb" seems to be gone forever in PF... what a pain in the butt...
Anyway... glad we can agree on something, because I recently saw Garrick Ohlsson play Opp. 109, 110, and 111 in concert, and it was UNBELIEVABLE. You are dead-on when you say that this man knows his Beethoven. I have not heard any of his CDs, but if they are anything like these live performances, I MUST get them! He blew me away with all three of those sonatas. I didn't expect this pianist who specializes in Chopin to be able to handle the Op. 111 Arietta, but BOY WAS I WRONG! Now that you started this thread, I'm just going to have to go buy some of his CDs. Thanks for affirming my sentiments!
