Nocturnes

Who else composes excellent nocturnes besides chopin?..im not familiar with the vastness of all the composers so maybe someone can enlighten me,,im not looking for meloncholy nocturnes..but yes i love those too..im looking for dream like..positive uplifting nocturnes like the chopin eflat major to add to my repertoire..thank you in advance to anyone who responds..

John Field of course

Sorabji also did some nocturnes if I remeber correctly

Liszt composed three famous nocturnes. also Rachmaninoff but not that famous.

There's also Barber's Nocturne. And for a contempory take on the nocturne check out Lowell Liebermann's Nocturnes. (I think he's written seven so far.)

try john field nocturnes. they, i believe are a little easier than chopin.  they are beautiful.
schirmer publishes a book of the nocturnes, but you have to buy it from another sight, like sheet music.com, active musician.com, hal leonard.com, well, try those sites to begin with.  to listen to a sample of john field nocturnes, you can go to amazon.com, or barnes and noble.com, and type john field nocturnes by miceal o' rourke. he does a beautiful job,
