... is the spawn of satan.  No pianist should ever play this ridiculous game.

it could damage your fingers.  i like to pick the lighter balls that my four year old would want to use.  gutter balls are like hell, right?  (not really swearing here, just using a simile)  heaven is a strike.  you get right to the point (slightly left of the center pin - little curve as it goes down the alley).  follow through with the arm.  wait.  watch it go down before moving one little bit.  must hit must hit must hit.  ohhhh yeeeaaaahhh.  (as my son says)  but i always beat him (well, almost).

what about tennis? volley ball?  field hockey?  lifting weights?  triathalons?  climbing at high altitudes?

not doing any sport is what sports bars are all about.  you watch sports on tv.

Here in Canada we have more traditionally had 5-pin bowling. The balls are much smaller and lighter; you can still get sore, but you have to work a little higher to do it.

It is difficult to get through a day without doing something that could damage you hands.

I have convinced my family that the worst thing for a pianist to do is the washing up.

duh you silly people the way to bowl as a pianist is you place the ball on the ground, turn so you're not facing the pins and give the ball a mighty push and watch it slowly makes its way down towards the pins. or doesn't make it. and then you're screwed. once we got one ball stuck at the end, so tried rolling another ball to push it further and then they both got stuck. so we had to get help, and they were like what the hell are you doing....

If a very lousy pianist should somehow drop a bowling ball on his/her fingers, this should be seen as part of the divine plan.
