You may want to look at it for ideas, if you haven't already.
Members may upload their performances and others may download, listen and comment on them.  That is one nice feature.

That is certainly a neat feature.  But that consumes a lot of bandwidth, both upstream and downstream.  That would definately bring the costs up of running this site.  And there may also be legal issues concerning the perfomance.

Other than that, I believe that it is an excellent idea.
