on: December 26, 2005, 03:30:21 AM
anyone using Finale 2005 version? it's my first time to use this program, i need help if in case you know how to do this...

i need to transcribe music into notes. is it possible that i import the file (WAV) into the program and have it transcribe it? i've tried clicking some but to no success. i'm trying to read the manual, but if in case you guys already know it and can give me simple tips about it, it wud be great. thanks.

Hey, that's a *HARD* problem  8) .

If you had a MIDI file to import, that would be much easier as these sorts of files are directly imported into most notation programs.

So, all I can suggest are these two programs:
https://www.widisoft.com/ - MP3 to MIDI and WAVE to MIDI Converter
https://www.seventhstring.com/xscribe/overview.html - Transcribe! - software to help transcribe recorded music

Looks like you are going to have to do a bit of aural training "solfege" maybe...

There is a free real-time mutual support channel for Finale via IRC, see https://www.finaleirc.com/ .

Good luck!  :D

thanks! i'll try it out. shucks, i might have to write it all down myself as it might be easier than figuring out these programs.:)
