my musical heritage:

regina horowitz(sister)-diana dubrovsky(current teacher)-david king(me aka student)

so does that mean that i am of horowitz descent?

Many of us can be traced back fairly easily to a great pianist. Whether this is at all valuable is another question...

it means nothing. :) I mean, many people can trace their lineage back to Beethoven (and hence to Haydn) or to Chopin, or Liszt (and hence to Beethoven and Haydn). But who gives a sh*t.
Living for music is a sad state. Living to play music is not.

we all are brothers and sisters when compared to father abraham. father abraham had many sons. I am one of them and so are you.  sergei was my great great grandaddy.  we used to toss back some whiskeys together and talk about the good ol times of russia and getting ostrasized from there.
My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.
