Digital Recorder
on: April 09, 2006, 08:56:02 AM
Hi boys and girls, I'm looking for a good digital recorder to record myself practicing. Any recommendations? $100 budget. And it should have a Mac link so I can post the mp3s on this forum.

TIA.

I'd suggest looking for a good used minidisc or mp3 recorder.  Spend more money on the microphone than you do the recorder.

Any brands or models? I'd really appreciate help since I don't know much about technology. I don't even know how I should be recording myself.

TIA.

I have the Olympus VN-1000 voice recorder.  It works fine and does everything one would want a voice recorder to do.  I followed the advice of one user on amazon and bought a 1/4" male to male audio cable so I could dump the recorded files in mp3s.

And it is under $50.  If you get the type that dumps files from a usb connection you will pay $20 more.  I hope this helps.
