Do you ever feel like your life is going on without you. Its moving so fast you just can’t keep up anymore. I sure feel that way about now. It’s like I’m just sitting back while life goes on around me. All I can do is hang on for dear life and hope for the best..

Go find a park, sit or lie down on the grass, and muse over your life for a while. Then get up and see that the amount of time you thought you were lying down for was actually a lot less.

It's quite fun to do ;D

henrah's right.  sometimes we don't take adequate time (actually resting or reading) for ourselves.  just last week i felt like the week went suddenly from monday to friday.  it was truly the fastest week i've ever experienced.  maybe it's a sign of age?

but, you can sort of stop time when you don't do the normal routine.  i don't mean omitting brushing your teeth (although i suppose for one day it wouldn't kill you).  but, maybe just getting out of the house.  to me, i get bogged down by inside chores and the day is gone.  (of course, typing on piano forum is really big waste sometimes - but so much fun).

gardening is another thing that slows time.  and volunteer work.  that is probably the most upper.  when you help someone else then you get to see a smile.  and, you're saying to the 'time robber'  - see, i have extra time evn though you told me i don't.

I'm blame the internet. With such easy access to news, entertainment, porn, and pointless religious flame wars on the pianostreet forums, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.

Try spending more time practicing piano.

Just sing that little song to yourself, entitled "Feelin Groovy."

It starts out,

"Slow down, you're going too fast now--
Got to help the morning last now" --

Play some nice Chopin waltzes.  That should get you into the right mood.
