Piano Street Magazine:
The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Relative to what? If something costs $US50 then that is the amount you need to buy it.

No, my luck did. My money was gladly accepted at every Casino. It never once failed to allow me to gamble, it got me food whenever I wanted and a nice hotel room too.

Money itself might not let you down, but since people are the means through which you get it, then your two statements are pretty closely related.

While money will not let us down, it is not as interesting.  People are what add excitement to our lives.  Money is akin to scales, everyone is told they need it, but we can live without a great deal.  Those who play too much scales become robots, and don't know much repertoire, just like those who focus too much on money.  They become rich, but selfish, they don't know many people, at least not in the way that feels deep and meaningful.  Their life, while appearing externally good, is not as satisfactory as those who are surrounded by a network of people who care for them.

Sorry, I always end up relating to piano-based analogies  :P  Just my two cents (hmm... quite a bad pun I've just realised ::))

A joke!? Do you think it's appropriate to make jokes about money? Religion and races maybe, perhaps even politics and women, but not money. >:(

A good analogy. But I prefer comparing money to air. You can never have too much air, but when there are lots of people around it can be annoying and noisy. Especially if you want to practice scales.

Good point, if you have lots of money, and people get wind of it, they stalk you.
But it's not like money and good personal relationships form a polarity - if you focus on one you can't have the other.  You can have both, if you're smart, wise, and do your scales.
